Stylistic Suggestions are, as the name propounds, only suggestions. We're not interesting in homogenizing a genre. If you're reading an article on romance and it's suggesting certain language techniques, we're not saying that romance should be written this way; only that it's one way to approach the genre. It may work for you or it may not.

These articles are generally intended for authors who are not familiar with a particular genre and are struggling to find a foothold to launch from. They'll likely be most helpful to the author who'd like to become ambidextrous in terms of genre, or who is merely looking to dabble in something new.

That having been said, there are enough handy tips here that the seasoned author may find something new here as well. The idea is to diversify writers' concentrations, so go forth! Check out the new and featured articles, or use the menu on the right-hand side to navigate through all the articles.
