About us & the Literary Library!

The Literary Library is the brainchild of lacombe, lalalaleigha, and several other enthusiastic members of Brigit's Flame. Together, we formulated a plan to create a database of articles intended to help writers, editors, and readers of the community. It became apparent very quickly that the articles written could be used for authors everywhere, not just within our community, so we brought you this website.

How do I submit an article?

If you're interested in submitting an article, all you have to do is join our LJ community Brigit's Flame (you'll need an LJ account) and watch for the Literary Library Submission Post that goes up on (or near) the first Monday of every month.

After submission, the articles are assigned to editors; the author is then asked to make revisions based on the suggestions made by editors and passing commenters. The final product is submitted to us and, except in extenuating circumstances, no further changes are made to the finished product. The author listed for the article is fully responsible for any and all content listed, except where otherwise noted. This gives the author of the article a great opportunity for growth and fosters a wonderful peer-to-peer environment for writers.

When your article is finished, send Leigha a personal message (PM) with a link to your completed article. Soon after, it'll be posted here on the website.

The Literary Library is an ongoing project. New articles are being written and added to the website every month; new ideas are spurned constantly. The hope is to keep the database expanding, to keep writers writing, and to keep the English language alive in all the best ways possible.

Thank you from all of us at the Flame for stopping in!
